.NET Architect
Salary: $100,000 - $120,000
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced .NET Architect to join our Technology Consulting practice, delivering enterprise-grade solutions for our portfolio of Fortune 500 and mid-market clients. This role blends deep technical expertise with client-facing leadership — you'll design scalable, secure, and maintainable systems while mentoring development teams and advising clients on technology strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and technical delivery of complex .NET-based solutions across multiple concurrent client engagements
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures, including system design documents, architecture diagrams, and technical specifications
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across the full SDLC — from solution design through deployment and post-launch support
- Establish and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and architectural best practices across project teams
- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical risk assessments
- Design and oversee cloud migration and modernization strategies (Azure preferred; AWS a plus)
- Architect microservices, APIs, and distributed systems with attention to scalability, security, and performance
- Collaborate with client stakeholders, business analysts, and project managers to align technical solutions with business goals
- Mentor and upskill mid-level and junior developers on architectural principles and modern .NET practices
- Support pre-sales activities, including technical scoping, solution estimation, and proposal development
- Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and third-party integrations
- Ensure solutions comply with security, regulatory, and data governance requirements relevant to client industries
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, with 3+ years in an architect-level role
- Expert-level proficiency in C#, .NET Core/.NET 6+, and the broader .NET ecosystem
- Strong experience designing RESTful APIs, microservices architectures, and event-driven systems
- Hands-on experience with Azure (App Services, Functions, Service Bus, AKS, Azure SQL) or equivalent cloud platform
- Proficiency with Entity Framework Core, SQL Server, and relational/NoSQL database design
- Solid understanding of design patterns, SOLID principles, and domain-driven design (DDD)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks (Angular, React, or Blazor) sufficient to architect full-stack solutions
- Strong knowledge of application security practices (OAuth2/OIDC, secure coding, data protection)
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience presenting to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Prior consulting, professional services, or client-facing delivery experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent certification
- Experience with legacy .NET Framework to .NET Core/.NET modernization projects
- Exposure to multiple industries (financial services, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, etc.)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates)
- Background in Agile/Scrum delivery environments; Scrum Master or Product Owner certification a plus
- Experience mentoring distributed/offshore development teams
- Familiarity with AI/ML integration into enterprise .NET applications
