Tech Director level role requiring extensive technical leadership experience.

Role Summary

This role is responsible for leading the architecture of back end and server side systems. The architect defines standards for APIs, distributed systems, integration, data modelling, and security. The role requires broad architectural understanding across multiple disciplines alongside deep expertise in back end technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Define front end architecture strategy aligned with organisational goals

• Design scalable and maintainable architectures for web and mobile applications

• Establish coding standards, design patterns, and engineering best practice

• Lead technical design reviews and guide UI and UX architectural decisions

• Architect reusable component libraries and design systems

• Optimise application performance, accessibility, and rendering efficiency

• Ensure compatibility across browsers, devices, and platforms

• Lead accessibility adoption and ensure adherence to WCAG

• Mentor engineering teams and support capability development

• Provide code review oversight and technical guidance

• Produce and maintain architectural documentation and diagrams

• Evaluate front end frameworks, tools, and emerging technologies

• Champion mobile first and responsive design approaches

• Present architectural decisions to senior stakeholders
