About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Agentic Engineer who will play a pivotal role in a strategic AI engagement with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA). You will lead the technical discovery of enterprise AI use cases, design secure agentic architectures, and build production-ready multi-agent systems for a highly regulated banking environment.

This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI technologies while collaborating with global engineering teams and senior client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Agentic AI and Multi-Agent Systems.
• Build and operate Playwright-based browser automation for enterprise application discovery and workflow mapping.
• Design autonomous agent workflows, tool-calling, planning, reasoning, and orchestration.
• Execute AI feasibility studies using synthetic data.
• Develop secure AI pipelines with a focus on prompt injection prevention and data security.
• Collaborate with architects, business stakeholders, and client leadership during the discovery phase.
• Contribute to enterprise AI architecture, governance, and implementation strategy.

Must-Have Skills

• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience building Agentic AI or AI-first applications.
• Strong experience with Playwright for application interrogation and workflow discovery.
• Expertise in Multi-Agent Systems, Agent Orchestration, Tool Calling, and Agent Loops.
• Hands-on experience with one or more AI frameworks:
  • LangGraph
  • LangChain
  • Semantic Kernel
  • Microsoft AutoGen
  • CrewAI
  • LlamaIndex
  • OpenAI Agents SDK
  • Azure AI Foundry Agent Service
• Strong programming skills in Python (preferred), C#, Java, or TypeScript.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of LLM security, prompt injection mitigation, AI governance, and enterprise security.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have

• Banking or Financial Services domain experience.
• Experience with RAG, MCP (Model Context Protocol), and AI Observability.
• Experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
• Kubernetes, Docker, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD experience.
