About the role
We are seeking a qualified Technical Engineer. This role is responsible for performing the essential functions listed below and requires the skills and experience described.
Minimum qualifications
- Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar product leadership role.
- Experience managing AI/ML, Generative AI, conversational AI, or LLM-based products.
- Strong experience owning product roadmaps, backlogs, requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment and leading Scrum ceremonies.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to understand technical concepts and collaborate effectively with software engineers, data scientists, and other technical teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Job responsibilities
- Own the product roadmap, backlog, priorities, and requirements for AI/ML and Generative AI products.
- Translate business needs and user requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications.
- Partner closely with engineering, design, data science, and business teams to define and deliver AI solutions.
- Lead and facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Define product goals, success metrics, KPIs, and evaluation criteria for AI products.
- Work with engineering and data teams to analyze AI evaluation and quality data and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide technical and product guidance throughout solution design, development, integration, testing, and implementation.
- Support system integration, testing, and validation to ensure AI solutions meet functional, technical, and performance requirements.
- Troubleshoot product and technical issues and coordinate with relevant teams to drive resolution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and communicate product progress and priorities.
- Document product requirements, technical specifications, processes, and procedures to support implementation and ongoing maintenance.
- Ensure solutions align with applicable quality, security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and AI services such as Vertex AI or CCAI.
- Experience defining and measuring AI/ML evaluation metrics, quality metrics, and product KPIs.
- Experience with conversational AI, chatbots, virtual agents, or other LLM-powered applications.
- Experience working in healthcare or another highly regulated industry.
- Technical engineering or software development experience is a plus.
Compensation: The anticipated base pay range for this position is $85,000 to $100,000 per year depending on experience, skills, location, and internal equity.
