Test Automation Engineer with JS/Playwright - Monterrey

Right now, we are looking for a Test Automation Engineer with Advanced English to join our Quality Engineering Studio.

This Studio provides a comprehensive suite of innovative and robust testing services that ensure high-quality products to meet the needs of demanding, technology-avid users.
The Test Automation Engineer makes a key contribution supporting end-to-end application delivery, constantly providing visibility of the actual quality of the products, verifying that they are always above our quality gates.

You will get the chance to:

• Design, develop, and maintain reliable, scalable, and maintainable automation tests that deliver consistent results.

• Create reusable automation components and utilities to accelerate test development and improve maintainability.

• Convert certified manual test cases into automated tests.

• Maintain and execute automated test suites (regression, smoke, workflow-based tests).

• Execute both automated and manual tests as required to support release timelines.

• Uphold existing Client quality standards, policies, and testing practices.

• Identify opportunities to improve automation frameworks, tools, and testing processes.

• Innovate and adopt tools or approaches that improve efficiency, coverage, and reliability.

• Provide accurate work estimates for assigned automation and testing tasks.

• Prevent defects upstream via shift-left validation, contract tests, and pre-merge quality gates (static analysis, SCA, unit and contract coverage).

• Continuously tune automation for speed and reliability; remove flakiness, optimize waits, and keep suites fast, focused, and value-dense.

• Strengthen test data and environments through synthetic datasets, anonymized production samples, and stable, self-service environment provisioning

What will help you succeed:

• 3–5+ years of hands-on software testing and/or test automation experience, including ownership of frameworks and pipelines.

• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks, including Playwright MCP, Gherkin / BDD-based testing and qTest (test management)

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps including CI/CD, environments, and test orchestration.

• Techical skills - JavaScript / TypeScript / Groovy / Python, Node.js-based automation frameworks, API test automation, writing SQL queries for data validation

• Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery with experience in SAFe environments preferred and Agile tools like Jira

• Experience with AI-enabled quality tooling including GitHub Copilot/M365 Copilot or similar agentic platforms for test generation, analysis, and documentation.

• Performance testing experience with JMeter/K6 and pipeline-integrated performance gates.

• Experience with agent-mode AI workflows including autonomous test generation and RCA assistance using Spec Kits.

• Knowledge of cloud technologies, microservices architectures, and containerization (Docker).

• Experience with log and data analysis tools such as Splunk.

• B2+ English Level
