Scrum Master (Mid-Level / Semi-Senior), Monterrey

We are looking for a proactive and self-driven Scrum Master to join our team and champion our Agile practices. As a Mid-Level Scrum Master, you will go beyond basic facilitation; you will act as a true servant-leader, empowering your team to self-organize, continuously improve, and deliver high-quality software predictably.

The ideal candidate is a quick learner with a strong Lean-Agile mindset, capable of managing team dynamics, resolving conflicts, and navigating the complexities of software development in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Team Facilitation & Coaching

• Facilitate core Agile ceremonies with purpose and efficiency (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives).

• Act as a servant-leader, guiding the team toward self-organization, cross-functionality, and continuous improvement.

• Proactively identify, track, and remove impediments or blockers that interfere with the team’s ability to deliver on Sprint goals.

• Foster a safe, trusting environment where conflicts can be managed healthily and problems can be raised without fear of blame.

Product & Backlog Support

• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner (and Product Developers) to ensure the Product Backlog is properly refined, prioritized, and ready for upcoming Sprints.

• Assist the team in writing clear, concise, and actionable User Stories with well-defined Acceptance Criteria.

• Help the team and stakeholders understand empirical product planning in a complex environment.

Metrics & Continuous Improvement

• Track and communicate team metrics (e.g., sprint velocity, burndown/burnup charts, predictability) to help the team make data-driven decisions.

• Drive the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives identified during retrospectives.

• Ensure high transparency of team progress and challenges to stakeholders.

Required Experience & Skills (Must Haves)

• Experience: 3 to 4 years of proven, hands-on experience acting as a Scrum Master for software development teams diligently applying Scrum principles and practices.

• Certifications: First-level Scrum Master certification (e.g., CSM from Scrum Alliance or PSM I from Scrum.org).

• Agile Mastery: Deep understanding of Agile values, principles, and theories, along with practical knowledge of Servant Leadership, situational awareness, and empowerment.

• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills. Ability to effectively manage conflict resolution and foster team collaboration.

• Tools: Hands-on experience using Agile lifecycle management tools to track team progress (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, Rally).

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Haves)

• Advanced Certifications: Second-level Scrum Master certification (e.g., A-CSM, CSP, or PSM II).

• Scaled Agile: Knowledge of or certification in Scaled Agile Frameworks (e.g., SAFe Agilist, LeSS).

• Technical Acumen: Familiarity with widely successful Agile engineering practices and techniques to better support the development team (e.g., Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Testing, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Pair Programming, and Automated Testing).

• Domain Knowledge: Previous background in software development, QA, or business analysis is a strong plus.
