React Native Developer (Production Support & Maintenance)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced React Native Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile application support, troubleshooting, and maintenance, with hands-on experience in React Native, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern mobile development tools.

This role is primarily focused on production support and operational excellence, not greenfield feature development.

Key Responsibilities

• Production support and maintenance of high-quality mobile applications built using React Native

• These are NOT feature development positions

• Incident management, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for mobile app issues in production

• Bug fixing and stability improvements across Android and iOS platforms

• Release preparation, coordination, and post-release support

• Performance monitoring and optimization of mobile applications (startup time, memory usage, UI responsiveness)

• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting to proactively identify production issues

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (backend, QA, DevOps, product) to analyze issues and implement fixes

• Troubleshoot and debug complex mobile issues, including device-specific and OS-specific behaviors

• Ensure applications follow best practices for security, performance, and maintainability

• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency

• Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers

• Stay up to date with emerging mobile technologies, tools, and best practices

Required Technical Skills

Core React Native & Frontend

• Strong experience with React Native

• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and/or TypeScript

• Solid understanding of React Hooks, functional components, and state management

• Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or similar)

• Familiarity with component lifecycle, rendering optimization, and performance tuning

Mobile Platform Knowledge

• Strong understanding of Android and iOS platforms

• Experience debugging platform-specific issues

• Familiarity with native modules and bridging (basic Android/iOS knowledge is a plus)

• Experience with mobile app performance profiling and optimization
  
  

APIs & Integration

• Experience consuming REST APIs (and/or GraphQL)

• Understanding of authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, token-based auth)

• Handling network failures, retries, and offline scenarios

Build, Release & DevOps

• Experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Bitrise, CircleCI, Fastlane)

• Familiarity with App Store and Google Play release processes

• Experience with versioning, build configurations, and environment management

• Git-based version control workflows

Monitoring & Support

• Experience with logging, monitoring, and crash reporting tools (e.g., Datadog, Splunk, Grafana)

• Ability to analyze logs, metrics, and alerts to resolve production incidents

• Understanding of incident management and on-call support practices

Nice to Have

• Experience with Expo

• Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox)

• Experience working with backend teams and cloud-based systems (AWS, GCP, etc.)

• Previous experience in a production support / operations-heavy role
