Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Mobile Applications

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with strong experience in mobile applications (iOS & Android) to help drive reliability, scalability, observability, and release excellence across enterprise mobile platforms.

This role is ideal for engineers passionate about mobile CI/CD, release automation, app store operations, monitoring, and production reliability.

What You’ll Do

Mobile SRE & Production Operations

• Own end-to-end SRE operations for mobile applications across iOS and Android
• Support build, packaging, deployment, monitoring, release, and production support activities
• Improve reliability, scalability, and operational excellence for mobile platforms
• Partner closely with mobile developers, platform engineers, and product teams

CI/CD & Automation

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Bitbucket
• Manage iOS builds with Xcode and Android release workflows using Gradle/APKs
• Automate signing, versioning, packaging, and deployment processes
• Support and optimize monorepo-based development environments

Release & App Store Management

• Manage Apple App Store and Google Play Store releases, submissions, rollbacks, and hotfixes
• Coordinate release orchestration, phased rollouts, approvals, and compliance processes
• Maintain provisioning profiles, certificates, signing keys, and release governance

Monitoring & Reliability

• Implement observability and monitoring solutions using Datadog and Firebase
• Track KPIs such as crash rates, ANRs, app performance, adoption, and release health
• Participate in incident management, RCA processes, and postmortems
• Integrate and maintain security/scanning tools such as Coverity and Black Duck
• Define and promote SRE best practices, SLIs, SLOs, and operational standards

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering with strong mobile application focus
• Hands-on experience supporting iOS and Android applications in production environments
• Strong expertise with:
  • Jenkins
  • Xcode
  • Gradle/APK workflows
  • Firebase (Crashlytics, Analytics, Performance Monitoring)
  • Bash or PowerShell scripting
• Experience managing App Store and Play Store release processes
• Familiarity with monorepo architectures and large-scale mobile operations
• Experience integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines
• Strong automation mindset and focus on operational excellence

 Nice to Have

• Datadog or similar observability platforms
• Fastlane and advanced mobile build automation
• Experience with feature flags, phased rollouts, and A/B testing
• Python scripting
• Understanding of TypeScript and modern mobile development workflows
• Experience defining SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
